Your data is yours
Last updated July 2026. This is a plain-language summary of how Fazer handles your information — it isn't a substitute for legal advice, and it may be updated as Fazer grows.
The short version
We collect what's needed to run Fazer — your account info, what you rate and review, and (if you connect one) data from services like Discogs or Spotify. We never sell your data, and we don't run ads that track you.
What we collect
Account info you give us directly: email, username, display name, bio, and profile photo.
Activity you create on Fazer: ratings, reviews, lists, listening history, and anything else you post.
If you connect a third-party service (Discogs, Spotify, Last.fm, Apple Music, Deezer), we store the access tokens needed to sync your collection or listening history from that service — never your password for those services.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data to anyone. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't run third-party ad trackers on Fazer. Any advertising Fazer runs in the future (if ever) will be clean and limited, never built on tracking you.
How we use your data
To run the app — showing your profile, your activity feed, your collection, and the people you follow. To keep your account secure. To improve Fazer over time. That's it.
Who can see what
By default, your profile and reviews are public, and you can make your listening history private in Settings. Your email address and connected-service tokens are never shown to other users.
Cookies & sessions
Fazer uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. That's it — no tracking cookies, no cross-site ad cookies.
Age requirement
Fazer is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger than that.
Your data, your control
You can edit or delete your profile info anytime in Settings. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — reviews, collection, activity — from the Settings page. This is irreversible once confirmed.
